NARS Audacious Lipstick Pictures, Swatches, and Review

Hey guys! I'm here today with a review of NARS Audacious Lipstick in the color Anna. Before we get into the color and formula of the lipstick, lets talk about the packaging! The old NARS lipstick packaging was the rubbery packaging that everyone knows NARS for, but these are a new, metal like, square type packaging. And the coolest thing about it, the top is a magnetic closure to the bottom! It's really cool to slide it on and off a bunch of times. I was afraid that the lid would slide right off in my purse, but the magnet is really strong, so no worries about that. The one downfall to the packaging though, is the fingerprints. The second you touch it, they're on there and they are not coming off, so don't even try to clean it.

Anyway, on to the actual formula! Anna is a rosy pink with no shimmer. It's not a matte, there is a little but of shine to it. It's very smooth and creamy and applies evenly in one coat. It's very creamy, so be careful trying to get a super straight edge. I think it is a great shade to throw on and go about your day. It doesn't come off or slide around for about 5 hours on me. This particular shade go with every makeup look, so I think it's a must have! You can try it for yourself for $32 here or here.

Too Faced Chocolate Bar Review, Pictures, and Swatches

Hey guys! Long time, no see. Sorry about that, I was busy with school. But now it is summer and I am ready to get back into the groove of blogging. Today I am reviewing the Too Faced Chocolate Bar eyeshadow palette. I'm late to the party on this one, so I hope that's okay. This eyeshadow palette is full of brown neutral shades and a few purple toned ones also. I'll go through each shade individually but I want to give a brief overview. The actual palette is shaped into a chocolate bar and smells like a Hershey's chocolate bar when opened. It smells exactly like their chocolate bronzers, because both are made with cocoa. I think the eyeshadows overall are of nice quality, but nothing amazing. They have great pigmentation but are not buttery like LORAC eyeshadows. Some are on the dry side like Black Forrest Truffle. I think this is a great palette, and if you want to buy this for yourself, you can for $49 here.

Gilded Ganache - A dark brown with an antique gold shimmer. Great pigmentation, very soft.

White Chocolate - A matte beige, with yellow undertones. Is very similar to one of their popular shades called 'Heaven'. It's not very pigmented but makes for a great browbone highlight.

Milk Chocolate - A matte medium warm brown. Good pigmentation. A little stiff in the pan.

Black Forrest Truffle - Burgundy with gold shimmer. Like I said before, this one is dry and not as pigmented as it could be. Also, when swatched, the gold shimmer teems to disappear.

Triple Fudge - A matte dark warm brown. Very soft and great pigmentation. One of my favorites. Easy blendable.

Salted Caramel - A matte peachy orange with undertones of brown. Amazing color when swatched but very powdery.

Marzipan - A peachy rose gold metallic shadow. Great pigmentation. One of my favorites. Love patting this onto the center of the eyelid.

Semi-Sweet - A warm matte medium brown. It is dry and patchy. But it can be buildable.

Strawberry Bon Bon - A matte baby pink. Not very pigmented and stiff in the pan. I use it to blend out the other shades, not just a color by itself.

Candied Violet - A purple shadow with pink shimmer. Oh man do I hate this eyeshadow. When swatched, there is barely anything there. It's just dots of pink shimmer. Nothing like it looks in the pan.

Amaretto - A frosty dark brown with red sheen to it. This is a very buttery shadow with great pigmentation.

Hazelnut - A bronzy brown shimmery eyeshadow. Good pigment, but on the powdery side.

Creme Brulee - A very warm gold. Smooth and good pigmentation.

Haute Chocolate - A dark warm bronze with lots of gold shimmer. Amazing pigmentation and very smooth.

Cherry Cordial - A dark red with hints of purple and silver flecks. Very dry and when swatched, there's not a lot of pigment and fallout with the flecks of silver.

Champagne Truffle - A light pink shimmery eyeshadow. Almost on the frosty side. Very buttery, great pigmentation.

MAC Pro Longwear Concealer Review, Pictures, and Swatches

Hey guys! I'm here today to review the MAC Pro Longwear Concealer in NC15. This is a concealer with a thicker type of concealer. It comes in a pump and glass style bottle, which is seriously annoying to me. It is impossible to control how much you pump out, and you always pump out more than you need. It is very wasteful in my opinion. The bottle is glass, so be careful not to drop it on a hard surface because it will break.

The actual product inside the bottle is what makes this concealer so great. It is creamy and a bit on the thicker side. It blends like a dream. It has a matte finished when dried. They have 16 different shade, but I am the lightest, NC15. I use this product as an under eye concealer. It works amazingly as that. It covers very well, taking away all of the blue under eye circles. The easiest way I have found to apply this is - put a tiny amount under your eyes, or wherever you need it, and then blend it out with a damp beauty blender. Of course you can blend it out with your fingers, but I find that doesn't keep that full coverage because you wipe it away with your fingers. You can also apply this with a brush, but with that method, I find that it creases rather quickly. And while we're on the topic of creasing, you do have to set this with a powder. Maybe you don't if you have normal to dry skin, but I have very oily skin. I set this with Anastasia Banana powder and it sets and stays on all day, which for me is around 14 hours. This is my favorite concealer of all time. It's great for anything that you need it to do, If you would like to try this, you can for $20 here.

If you guys would like to see a tutorial using this concealer, let me know in the comments!

Benefit Roller Lash Mascara Review and Pictures

Hey guys! Today I am reviewing the new Roller Lash mascara by Benefit. Sephora's website says it will create long lashes while curling them. First of all, the packaging is super adorable. It is a black handle and the top is a pale peach which a wide fishnet design. I love it. It's not too heavy either. The wand has very tiny silicone bristles and is slightly curved. I like how tiny it is because you can get to the very root of your lashes without the mascara smudging everywhere. Even though the bristles are tiny, I feel like they have a good grip on your lashes as you apply the product.

The actual formula performs very well. If you have ever used the more popular mascara 'They're Real' by Benefit, you would know how wet and goopy that formula is. This one is also wet, but is nowhere near as goopy and messy. When you apply this mascara, it will instantly cling to your lashes and stay there. It does not smudge at all, it's great! After all day wear, there was no mascara smudges or flakes under my eyes, which is unusual. I was a bit worried it would be hard to come off, but it wasn't! I used Benefit's 'They're Real' cream makeup remover and it just slid right off. It literally took half the time to take off this mascara than it does with other ones. The color is also a dark inky black that makes your lashes look thick and lush. It really curls by lashes and holds the curl. In the pictures I took, I did not curl my lashes with a lash curler. After two coats, it did make my lashes a bit clumpy, so after I took the pictures, I did have to separate my lashes with a lash comb. It lengthened my top lashes quite a bit. but the real length was in my bottom lashes! They looked amazing. I highly recommend you try this mascara. If you would, you can for $24 here.

MAC Rebel Lipstick Review, Pictures, and Swatches

Hey guys! I'm here today for a quick review of the MAC lipstick in Rebel. The color is a dark berry purple. It's almost opaque in the first swatch, so it's buildable. It seems very dark and scary in the tube, but on the lips it's very wearable. It is almost a raspberry color. It doesn't tug on the lips at all, it glides across. It wears for around 4 hours before needing a touch up. Most MAC lipsticks are hit with me and this one is another one. I really like it and find it very wearable. If you would like to try this, you can for $16 here.

Smashbox Always Sharp Lip Liner Review, Swatches, and Pictures

Hey guys! I'm here today with a review of the Smashbox lip liner in Frenchie. The really cool thing about this lip liner is that it sharpens itself! The product comes in a plastic tube and in the the cap is the sharpener. When you twist off the cap, it automatically sharpens the product. My only complaint about the packaging itself, is that when I use it, I don't always want to sharpen it, but it will anyway. I feel like this wastes the product, but there is no way to stop it without leaving the cap off but that will make the product dry out.

The actual product is amazing though. The color is a light baby pink. It glides on smoothly but doesn't slide everywhere. After you apply it you can blend it quickly but it will set. If I feel in my entire lips it will show lines and cracks in my lips but really, any lipliner will do this. It did not fade too much though out the day, but there was a little bit. Not enough to reapply it. At the end of the day it was fairly easy to remove with a makeup wipe. I did have to go over it twice though. I think it is a decent product, but nothing incredible. I probably will try a couple more colors though. They have 16 colors, ranging from nude to pink to red. Mostly they have many shades of pink. If you would like to try this, you can for $20 here.

Vapour Organic Beauty Trick Stick Highlighter Review, Pictures, and Swatches

Hey guys! I'm here today to review the Vapour Organic Beauty Trick Stick Highlighter in Dazzle. This company was very to send me one to review, so thank you guys so much! This product comes in four different colors, and like I said earlier, I received Dazzle, which is a yellow gold toned highlighter. Their website states "Trick Stick is made with 70% organic ingredients and 30% natural mineral pigments". I have been dabbling in organic makeup lately, so I was very enthused when I came across this brand. They have a wide range of makeup, including foundation, powders, lipsticks, cream eyeshadows, and cream blushes and bronzers! That's a lot to choose from, so I can't wait to try more of their things. So let's start talking about the actual product.

So this product is a cream highlighter. It comes in a twist up stick applicator, with a small, found, flat surface. I really like that it is so small and compact because it would be great to travel with or just throw in your makeup bag. The color is a light yellow gold with gold shimmer. You can use this product on your cheekbones, brow bone, cupids bow, or inner corner of your eye. Really anywhere you want to put a highlight. You can apply this directly to your cheek bones or you could use a brush. If you would use a brush, I would recommend a stiff flat one. When I applied this to my cheekbones, it was very creamy, I blended it out with my ring finger, and it blended so well! The color is very pigmented when you first apply is, so I definitely recommend to blend it out. Throughout the day you could clearly see the highlight well. I will say that it was very cold the day I wore it, so I don't know how well it would hold up through sweating all day. There was some fading near the end of the day, but it still looked gorgeous.

I don't know if you can tell, but I really love this product! It's pigmented, it blends well, and it has very good staying power. What more could you want? I definitely will be ordering more colors and different products from this company soon. If you would like to try this out, head on over to http://www.vapourbeauty.com/ and order it for $20 here.

P.S. - I'm not exactly sure what happened during shipping, but my box arrived completely busted up, but thankfully the product was not messed up at all! Just explaining why the box looks the way it does.
