Too Faced Chocolate Bar Review, Pictures, and Swatches

Hey guys! Long time, no see. Sorry about that, I was busy with school. But now it is summer and I am ready to get back into the groove of blogging. Today I am reviewing the Too Faced Chocolate Bar eyeshadow palette. I'm late to the party on this one, so I hope that's okay. This eyeshadow palette is full of brown neutral shades and a few purple toned ones also. I'll go through each shade individually but I want to give a brief overview. The actual palette is shaped into a chocolate bar and smells like a Hershey's chocolate bar when opened. It smells exactly like their chocolate bronzers, because both are made with cocoa. I think the eyeshadows overall are of nice quality, but nothing amazing. They have great pigmentation but are not buttery like LORAC eyeshadows. Some are on the dry side like Black Forrest Truffle. I think this is a great palette, and if you want to buy this for yourself, you can for $49 here.

Gilded Ganache - A dark brown with an antique gold shimmer. Great pigmentation, very soft.

White Chocolate - A matte beige, with yellow undertones. Is very similar to one of their popular shades called 'Heaven'. It's not very pigmented but makes for a great browbone highlight.

Milk Chocolate - A matte medium warm brown. Good pigmentation. A little stiff in the pan.

Black Forrest Truffle - Burgundy with gold shimmer. Like I said before, this one is dry and not as pigmented as it could be. Also, when swatched, the gold shimmer teems to disappear.

Triple Fudge - A matte dark warm brown. Very soft and great pigmentation. One of my favorites. Easy blendable.

Salted Caramel - A matte peachy orange with undertones of brown. Amazing color when swatched but very powdery.

Marzipan - A peachy rose gold metallic shadow. Great pigmentation. One of my favorites. Love patting this onto the center of the eyelid.

Semi-Sweet - A warm matte medium brown. It is dry and patchy. But it can be buildable.

Strawberry Bon Bon - A matte baby pink. Not very pigmented and stiff in the pan. I use it to blend out the other shades, not just a color by itself.

Candied Violet - A purple shadow with pink shimmer. Oh man do I hate this eyeshadow. When swatched, there is barely anything there. It's just dots of pink shimmer. Nothing like it looks in the pan.

Amaretto - A frosty dark brown with red sheen to it. This is a very buttery shadow with great pigmentation.

Hazelnut - A bronzy brown shimmery eyeshadow. Good pigment, but on the powdery side.

Creme Brulee - A very warm gold. Smooth and good pigmentation.

Haute Chocolate - A dark warm bronze with lots of gold shimmer. Amazing pigmentation and very smooth.

Cherry Cordial - A dark red with hints of purple and silver flecks. Very dry and when swatched, there's not a lot of pigment and fallout with the flecks of silver.

Champagne Truffle - A light pink shimmery eyeshadow. Almost on the frosty side. Very buttery, great pigmentation.

Sephora All Access Glam Gold and Silver Eye and Face Palette Review, Pictures, and Swatches

Hey guys! I'm here today with a review of Sephora's All Access Glam palette today. This is a small palette, about the size of my hand, that contains four neutral shades on the left, four smokey eye shades on the right, two blushes on the top, two blushes on the bottom, and a face highlighter in the middle. That's a lot of stuff for such a cheap price, folks! This is one of Sephora's holiday palettes, so it is limited edition. And you may be thinking that this palette is amazing but lets get down to business. The color quality is nowhere near mind blowing. Even with a primer underneath, the swatches were so underwhelming. Another thing is that the blushes are so small that it is very difficult to dip a regular sized blush brush into the pan without getting another color on the edge of the brush. That's really annoying because the blushes are the best thing about this palette. Other than that it is very travel friendly.

On the left side, you have four neutral/gold shadows. This first one is a white shadow with golden sheen. When swatched it looks almost completely matte. There is a slight sheen if you apply it with a stiff brush, but when blended out, the golden shimmer completely wipes away. Really disappointing.  The second color is a gold color. It is a very orangey gold, not a bright cool toned gold which a really like. Again this one in the plan look very shimmery with light golden pearls, but when swatched, it is completely wiped away and you're left with a light orange/gold color. Bleh. The third color is a yellow gold color with a slight sheen to it. When swatched there's very little color. Very very difficult to blend and even show up. In my opinion, one of the worst colors. The last color on the left side is a warm brown with lots of gold shimmer. This is the only color on this side that holds them shimmer when you use it. It does blend okay, but not buttery smooth.

On the right side, you have four smokey/silver eyeshadows. The top shade is a matte cream shadow. Very stiff and no pigment. My other least favorite shadow. The second shade is a taupe gray with silver shimmer. When swatched it is a very cool toned gray with a slight sheen. Nothing silver about it. One of the more better shadows. Still not blown away though. The third shade is the darkest in the palette. In the pan it looks like a dark gray with lots of bright silver glitter. When swatched it takes on an almost brown tone. Very strange. The last color is a bright silver. When swatched it's very shimmer and one of the softer shades.

In the middle you have four blushes and one highlighter. On the top you have two blushes. The left one is a very bronzed dark pink with lots of gold shimmer. You could use this has a bronzer if you have tanner skin, but if you have very light skin like I do, just use it as a blush. The color looks very weird on my skintone, so not my favorite, but the pigment is very smooth. The one next to it on the right is a bright pink. In the pan it has a very slight sheen, but when swatched it's matte. Very smooth, lots of pigment. My favorite part of the palette. On the bottom you have two more blushes. The left one is a coral/orange/pink color. Very different. When swatched it looks quite similar to NARS Deep Throat, but lighter. The right one is a rose toned pink. Nothing special, just a little stiff in the pan. In the middle you have a light golden face highlighter. It almost looks on the bronze side, but when on the skin it's very light and looks gorgeous. The very best part of the palette.

So all in all, I do not like this palette. It doesn't have amazing pigmentation and doesn't blend at all. I was very disappointed, but I will try to use it. Urban Decay Electric Pressed Pigment Palette Eyeshadow Tutorial

Hey guys! It's been a while since I've done a tutorial, but the Electric palette from Urban Decay has inspired me again :) So let's stop the chit chat and get started! All the products I use will be listed as I go.

First start off with a clean eye and prime with an eyeshadow primer. I used Urban Decay Primer Potion. Then you want to use a white cream base to make these bright shadows pop. I used NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk.

Then I added Freak to the eyelid with a flat shader brush. Do not go above the crease with this color.

Next I added Thrash to the inner corner and blended it into Freak.

Next I added Gonzo to the outer third of my eye. This picture will be before I blended it.

And now taking a clean fluffy brush, I blended Gonzo in Freak and added color and blended over and over until I was happy with the saturation.

Then I took Urban on a small pencil brush and mapped out where I wanted the color and then I took another clean brush and blended it upward towards the browbone.

Taking that same blending brush, I picked up a little of Jilted and blended that into and a little above Urban.

Next on an angled brush I put fringe on the outer half of the lower lash line.

And then I took Freak and put it in the middle of the lower lash line blending it into Fringe and Freak.

After adding some final touches like gel liner on the upper lash line, mascara, and bright pink lipstick, you are done! Here are some pictures of the finished look.

Urban Decay Electric Pressed Pigment Palette Review & Swatches

Hey guys! I'm so excited today because I am here to review Urban Decay's Electric Pressed Pigment Palette. This palette consists of 10 pressed pigments that are insanely pigmented and bright and a double ended brush. Before I want to start this review, I have to point out that a few of the shades are not intended for immediate eye area. Those colors include: Slowburn, Savage, Jilted, and Urban. The reason why you can't use them in your eye area is because they are some of the brighter colors. If you have sensitive eyes, I would not recommend using those colors on your eyelid, or around you eye. But if you do not have sensitive eyes, I believe it would be okay. So lets start reviewing the colors! Starting at the top left, Revolt is a bright silver shade. It has tiny silver specks of glitter which are prone to fall out. If you tap off your brush, it doesn't fall out too bad though. It's one of the rougher shades that are not as smooth, but it has good staying power. The next color is Gonzo which is a matte turquoise with a silver pearl finish. It is very soft and blends beautifully. Slowburn is next and it is an orange red matte, with almost a peachy pearl finish in the pan. On the eye, its a lot more matte and very soft. Next is Savage which is a very hot pink matte, but is one of the drier shades, but still blends okay. The last shade on the top is Fringe which is a metallic teal. It's a great shadow, but one of my least favorites. The first shade on the bottom is Chaos which is a cobalt matte blue. This shade is amazing. It is a little dry, but blends really well. It is definitely an uncommon shade. Jilted is next and it is a bright fuchsia which a blue shift to it. It is very soft and blends well. Next is Urban and it is a bright shimmery grape purple. It has pink undertones and looks really well with green eyes. Next to last is Freak which is a very light green with yellow gold shift. It is one of the softest colors and blends very very well. Finally we have Thrash which is a lime green matte with a gold hue. It is a little dry but still blends on the eye. Marc Jacobs The Tease Eyeshadow Palette Review

Hey guys! I'm here today with a review of Marc Jacob's Style Eye-Con palette in The Tease. This palette contains seven different eyeshadows ranging from shimmer, glitter, matte, and satins. It is full of plums, purples, and taupe colors. A few were a little hard to blend and then other colors were very smooth. They all have great staying power, but I used a primer underneath them. The package is my very favorite for eyeshadow! It comes in a very sleek case that had a clasp in the middle. The case also is enclosed in a sleeve that can close. This palette is very well designed and feels luxurious. It costs $59 and you can get it here.
